In-Place Restore
Rather than only downloading a backed-up copy, BYOVault can restore a file or mail item directly back into Microsoft 365 — a drive or a mailbox, depending on the workload.
Drive-inject (SharePoint & OneDrive)
Drive-inject restores a file back into SharePoint or OneDrive at its original path. Pick any retained version of a file — including a prior version, not just the most recent one — and BYOVault writes it back into the live drive.
Exchange-inject (Exchange)
Exchange-inject restores a mail message into a specified mailbox and folder. It supports cross-mailbox restore — an item can be restored into a mailbox other than the one it was originally backed up from, which is useful for handling a departed or renamed user’s mail.
Downloading instead
Any backed-up file can also be downloaded directly rather than restored in place, without touching the live Microsoft 365 tenant at all.
